Tom Tiffany has represented Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House since 2020. He previously served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 2013 to 2020 and the Wisconsin Assembly from 2011 to 2013. Before entering public office he worked in business and served as a town supervisor in Little Rice. He won the August 11, 2026 Republican primary for governor.
Positions on the issues
Supports freezing property taxes and removing regulations affecting housing, childcare, and health care costs; opposes state tax incentives and subsidies for data centers.
Supports keeping reliable power plants operating, expanding nuclear energy, protecting utility ratepayers, and holding the Public Service Commission accountable.
Opposes secrecy agreements between data center developers and local governments and supports protecting farmland from industrial data centers and subsidized wind and solar projects.
