About
Mark William Pocan, born August 14, 1964 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is a small-business owner who ran a union printing shop before entering politics. He served on the Dane County Board of Supervisors (1991-1996) and in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1999-2013), then was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012 and has served since 2013. He is a former chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and has held leadership roles in the Congressional Equality Caucus and the Labor Caucus.
